TRIUMPH Thruxton Review

Triumph has a launched Thruxton, the motorcycle comes with a retro styling with low seat height. The Triumph Thruxton looks like an old school café racer which suits for the city and street riding. The design language of the motorcycle is very classic 60’s look; the tubular steel cradle frame offers a lightweight aluminum rim. The motorcycle receives a pretty good mark in the efficiency; practicality and comfort with a sporty suspension are implemented. The Nissin disc provides an excellent toping power for the café racer standard. The old school looking styles with new technology are equipped in its skin. The classic sporty riding experience with low speed with a impressive handling.

Thruxton is built with a pretty good comfort with an impressive riding position for the rider. The seating of the bike is with a great comfortable seat, the handlebars are ergonomic with an exciting feel while riding the motorcycle. The style is inspired by the ton up boys with a sportiness classic look. The special feature are sporty colour schemes, Sporting low handlebars, aluminium-rimmed spoked wheels, stylish bar, Beautiful chrome and megaphone style silencers. The electronic instrumentation displays the analogue speedometer, analogue tachometer, electric start, analogue two trip-meter, low fuel indicator, low oil indicator and low battery indicator. The fuel gauge, pillion footrest, clock, turn signal and pass light are available in the motorcycle. The available colors are Diablo Red, Phantom Black and Brooklands Green.

It comes with a 360º firing interval, parallel-twin, DOHC, and Air-cooled engine with a displacement of 865cc, the maximum power of 93 bhp @ 5408 rpm and torque of 151 Nm @ 3550 rpm. The fuel system is Multipoint sequential electronic fuel injection with SAI, the electronic ignition is of Transistor Controlled Ignition. The five speed transmission gear box which control the flow of the engine. The Final drive is gears with a X ring chain. The clutch is of wet, light action and multi-plated clutch with a multi disc. The chassis type is Tubular steel cradle, swingarm is Twin-sided and tubular steel.

The front suspension is KYB 41mm forks with adjustable preload and 120mm travel, the rear suspension is KYB chromed spring twin shocks with adjustable preload and 106mm rear wheel travel. The front wheel is made up 36-spoke 18 x 2.5in, aluminum rim and tyre size is 100/90 18, and the rear wheel is 40-spoke 17 x 3.5in, aluminum rim and tyre size is 130/80 R17. The braking system is, the front brake is Single floating disc with Nissin two-piston floating caliper and with a diameter of 320mm, and the rear brake is Single disc, Nissin two-piston floating caliper and with a diameter of 255mm. The battery has a free maintenance. The electrical system offers a bulb with a Multi-Reflector Type headlight with 55/60 W; the headlight gives you a good vision on the road. The capacity of fuel tank is 16 liters.
